Fuengirola's Plaza de España will host the third edition of the Fair of Popular Games this Saturday, September 12, with activities for the whole family from 11:00 to 14:00.
The Plaza de España in Fuengirola will host this Saturday, September 12, the third edition of the Fair of Popular Games, an initiative by the Department of Sports that will offer a morning of active leisure for the whole family. The event will take place from 11:00 to 14:00 with seven game stations spread throughout the area.
Attendees will be able to enjoy traditional games such as the Handkerchief, English Chicken, Tic-Tac-Toe, Hopscotch, Bowling, or Jump Rope, among others. The activity is part of the 'Fuengirola in Shape' programme, designed by the City Council to promote healthy lifestyle habits during September.
The Sports Councillor, Julio Rodríguez, presented the event on Tuesday and encouraged families to participate: “With this fair, we want to offer a healthy leisure alternative, especially aimed at the little ones, but designed for family enjoyment.” Rodríguez added that “popular games are part of our culture and allow us to recover activities that several generations have grown up with.”
The fair aims to integrate physical activity into daily life as a healthy habit and promote community interaction among neighbours. Admission is free, and the City Council invites all interested parties to come to Plaza de España from eleven in the morning.
