During his stay, he signed in the book of honour and held a meeting with the president of the Autonomous City, Juan Jesús Vivas, and other members of the Ceuta government.
The visit is part of the institutional declaration approved by the Local Government Board on 14 August, in which the Málaga City Council expressed its solidarity, closeness, and support for the citizens of Ceuta and Melilla in light of the serious events affecting their security, coexistence, and normality.
With this gesture, Málaga reinforces its commitment to both autonomous cities, at a time when migratory pressure and security challenges are shaping the political agenda of North Africa. The mayor did not make any public statements following the meeting, according to municipal sources.
