The September council approves that Turismo de Ronda S.A. will provide the service and allocates three new, 100% electric and accessible vehicles for all neighbourhoods. The general account for 2025 closes with a surplus of 2.5 million euros.
The Ronda City Council has definitively approved the municipalisation of the urban transport service in the ordinary council meeting of September. The municipal company Turismo de Ronda, S.A. will be responsible for providing it directly, while at the same time the municipal administration has awarded the purchase of three new, 100% electric and accessible vehicles, which will allow access to all neighbourhoods of the city.
The session also greenlit the general account for 2025 of the City Council, which shows a positive result of over 2.5 million euros. The Councillor for Economy, Ángel Martínez, listed the actions undertaken in Ronda. The mayor, Mari Paz Fernández, specified:
“In the last eight years, over 30 million has been invested in Ronda.”
Another project promoted in this Monday's council was the alternative road to the Puente Nuevo, which will run through the area of the Las Culebras stream and offer an urban alternative to crossing the Puente Nuevo. The Councillor for Urban Planning, Jesús Vázquez, defended the project, which meets all favourable requirements, including environmental ones.
In urban planning matters, the provisional development of land around the Hospital has been approved, initiated by private initiative, which foresees a commercial and industrial area and will include a second vehicular access to the health complex and one pedestrian access.
Among other matters, the declaration of World Mental Health Day has been approved and the ICIO has been waived for the Diputación de Málaga for the construction of a bioeconomy building in the neighbourhood of La Dehesa, which, according to the mayor, will enhance the training offer in Ronda, particularly for vocational training cycles, given the general interest in the project for the city.
