Unicaja and the Confederation of Business Owners of Málaga (CEM) have renewed their collaboration agreement to continue supporting the business fabric of the province. The agreement, signed by the CEO of Unicaja, Isidro Rubiales, and the president of the CEM, Javier González de Lara, as reported by Diario Sur, includes a financing line to facilitate the activity of companies, meet their liquidity needs, and support investment and growth projects.
Thanks to this renewal, the more than 40,000 companies and freelancers and the hundred associations integrated into the CEM will be able to access a specific offer of products and services on preferential terms. The offer includes solutions for daily business management, financing for investments, and value-added services, such as those gathered in the 'solucionaT' space on Unicaja's commercial website, in addition to digital banking tools to streamline the operations of shops and companies.
Rubiales has highlighted that companies need “a financial partner who understands the economic reality of each territory” and, with this renewal, “we continue to support the business fabric of Málaga in their investment, growth, and value generation projects.” He also emphasized that “the economic and business dynamism of Málaga underscores the importance of continuing to provide instruments that help strengthen the competitive capacity of companies and freelancers.”

For his part, González de Lara pointed out that SMEs and freelancers need financial solutions tailored to their reality to “develop their activity with greater security, face new investments, and advance in their growth projects.” The president of the CEM has valued that the renewal “strengthens a solid and ongoing collaboration with Unicaja, an entity deeply linked to Málaga,” and will continue to bring companies instruments that promote their growth, modernization, and job creation.
The agreement is part of Unicaja's Strategic Plan 2025-2027, which considers companies, SMEs, and freelancers a priority group due to their role in the economy of Málaga and Andalusia. Companies associated with the CEM will be able to access these preferential conditions by contacting their entity or through the usual channels of the confederation.
