The province wakes up this Friday with overcast skies and gusts of up to 47 km/h. Aemet expects the intensity to decrease from 11:00.
The strong westerly wind felt during the night has startled many residents and continues to be present at dawn this Friday. The gusts have affected wide areas of the province, from Marbella to the interior of the Valle del Guadalhorce.
According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the gusts will remain above 40 kilometres per hour, with peaks of 47 km/h, at least until 11:00, when their intensity will begin to decrease.
For today, the state agency warns of dust in the southeast third and cloudy skies in the eastern third, without ruling out showers and storms. Precipitation is more likely during the first half of the day and in Almería, where it may be locally heavy and accompanied by very strong gusts of wind.
“Some drops right now and during this first half of Friday in the easternmost part of Andalucía due to a band coming in from the south,” Aemet detailed on its official profile on the social network X.
In the afternoon, conditions could improve to partly cloudy skies. Minimum and maximum temperatures will decrease in the region, with notable drops in the easternmost part. Córdoba and Granada, with 32 degrees, will record the peak temperature, while Almería will not exceed 25 degrees.
In the province of Málaga, caution is advised in coastal and inland areas due to possible strong gusts during the morning, as well as securing objects that may be displaced by the wind. Improvement will arrive from midday, with a weekend expected to be more stable.
