The town of Málaga will be the setting for 36 new Vocational Training actions for Employment, which will be implemented by the Junta of Andalucía in the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year.
The territorial delegate for Employment, Business and Self-Employment in Málaga, Carmen Sánchez Sierra, highlighted the importance of this measure during the diploma presentation to students of the Public Employment Training Centre Remedios Rojo. This centre has delivered 24 training actions with nearly 400 students participating in the last period.
New training actions and available places
For the next academic year, the Junta plans a total of 630 places and a budget of 896,672 euros, distributed over a total of 8,576 hours of training. The actions are primarily aimed at unemployed individuals and cover various areas, such as Agriculture, Electricity and Electronics, IT and Communications, Installation and Maintenance, and Socio-Cultural Services and Community.
The process of recruiting students is expected to begin in early September, marking a new advance in the commitment to vocational training that seeks to adapt to the needs of the current labour market.
Commitment to training and employment
During her visit to the centre, Sánchez Sierra also highlighted that many of those who have completed their training have already found employment, demonstrating the Junta of Andalucía's commitment to education tailored to the real demands of the labour market.
“Each certificate we deliver today represents a new opportunity to access the job market or improve professional qualifications,” the delegate assured. Throughout the 2024-2025 period, the Public Employment Training Centre Remedios Rojo has developed 24 training actions in both in-person and virtual formats, accumulating 6,922 hours of training.
