Marbella will host, along with other Andalusian cities, the Inturjoven Residents Programme for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Junta de Andalucía, through the Ministry of Housing, Youth and Land Planning, is reinforcing this programme, which will have 272 places available.
The initiative is aimed at students and teachers who will carry out their academic activities in various locations, including Almería, Córdoba, Huelva, Jerez de la Frontera, Marbella, and Seville. This year, the offer expands to all the hostels in the network, creating new places for medium and long-term stays.
Improvement in accommodation offerings
The councillor Rocío Díaz explained that these programmes aim to optimise the use of the hostel network throughout the year, providing alternatives for those who need to travel for academic or work-related reasons. The programme previously assisted 89 young people in its last edition.
The Residents Programme is aimed at young people aged between 16 and 30 years and active teachers. Enrolments can be made from mid-September. Additionally, the hostels offer single and double rooms, dining services, cleaning, and access to study rooms.
In Marbella, the arrangement includes accommodation and breakfast throughout the week, while in other cities full board is offered from Monday to Friday.
Coliving for flexible stays
In addition to the Residents Programme, Inturjoven maintains the Coliving model, which allows for extended stays without the need to be linked for the entire academic year. This option is ideal for those who travel for training or temporary professional reasons.
Special rates are available for stays of at least 15 days, offering options for single or double rooms, as well as cleaning and wifi. Both programmes feature rooms adapted to different needs.
In 2025, the Inturjoven network recorded over 423,000 overnight stays, serving more than 78,000 people. The councillor has highlighted the Ministry's intention to continue expanding these services to meet the diverse needs of young people in Andalusia.
