The president of the Junta confirms in Málaga that he has a rental property and admits to having had problems with the tenant. He announces the start of works for 50 VPO on Cerrojo street with an investment of 8 million.
The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has a rental property. He confirmed this on Thursday during his speech at the Diálogos SUR event held in Málaga, in response to a question from the director of Diario Sur, Javier Recio, according to information published by this outlet.
Moreno admitted that he has had "some problems" with the tenant and described the situation naturally: "There are always the usual things, things that break, delays in payment... You have to try to be flexible." Regarding the price, he stated: "I have it at a reasonable price, just like me." When asked twice about the exact amount, he refused to disclose it, even when asked if it exceeded 1,000 euros per month.
These statements were made in the context of an analysis of the housing situation in Spain. The Andalusian president criticised state interventionism and defended public-private collaboration, the streamlining of procedures, and the availability of land banks. He was also very critical of the state decree project, considering that it will deter more owners from putting their flats on the market.
Locally, Moreno announced the imminent start of works for 50 official protected homes (VPO) on Cerrojo street, in the Perchel neighbourhood of Málaga. The development will include a garage and storage room and will involve an investment of 8 million euros.
