The Local Police of Málaga has arrested a 40-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of an attempted murder. This arrest occurred after the individual stabbed another man, aged 48, during an argument on Actriz Rosario Pino street.
The events took place at midnight on July 31. A patrol from the Local Police responded to a report of a fight at a bar. Upon arrival, the officers encountered two men fleeing the scene. When intercepted, one of them had blood stains on his head and clothing.
The injured man confessed that he had stabbed another and that the weapon used had been discarded near the bar. The officers proceeded to secure the custody of the suspect and investigate the situation.
Details of the assault
Investigators determined that the fight between the families of both parties had begun prior to the attack. The alleged assailant left the scene under the pretext of going home but returned ten minutes later armed with a knife hidden in his clothing, with which he attacked the victim from behind, managing to wound him in the right side.
Upon arriving at the bar, the local police found the victim on the terrace, where he received immediate medical attention. He was evacuated by ambulance to a hospital, where he remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), although his life is not in danger.
Judicial process of the detainee
The man was first taken to a medical centre for assistance and then to police facilities. Finally, he was placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities, where the appropriate measures will be determined regarding the events that occurred.
