Málaga's tourist information offices assisted 5,545 users during Friday and Saturday of the Fair, a 14% decrease compared to 2025. The drop is concentrated on Friday, when the Alameda point was not yet operational.

The municipal tourist information offices and points in Málaga recorded a total of 5,545 inquiries during Friday, August 14, and Saturday, August 15, amid the August Fair. This figure represents a 14% decrease compared to the previous year, according to data provided by the Tourism Department of the City Council.

The detailed balance shows opposing trends: on Friday, August 14, there was a 35% drop, although that day the information point at Alameda Principal was still not operational. In contrast, on Saturday, August 15, there was a 12% increase in users compared to the same day in 2025, now with all points active: Plaza de la Marina, Alcazabilla, Alameda, and Real, the latter being a new addition for this edition.

The Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, and the Tourism delegate, Jacobo Florido, visited the Tourist Office at Plaza de la Marina on Saturday to oversee the special arrangements deployed by the City Council during the Fair. The City Council has once again strengthened the information service to meet the expected increase in demand during this period.

Regarding the origin of the visitors, 76% were from the international market, with the United Kingdom leading, while 24% were national, mainly from Málaga itself. The most common inquiries were about city maps, museums and monuments, transport, restaurants, shops, and of course, the Fair itself.

The Tourism Department has also invested in improvements to these facilities as part of the Sustainable Tourism Plan, with actions focused on energy efficiency and the roof of the office at Plaza de la Marina.

The special tourist information service will remain active during the central days of the Fair, with extended hours at various points to assist both foreign visitors and locals wanting to navigate the city.
