Málaga Fair 2026 introduces connection with Almogía and strengthens bus routes

The Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Málaga Area activates special bus services from August 15 to 22 to reach the Fair from 20 municipalities. Almogía joins for the first time with line M-460.

The Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Málaga Area has presented the Special Fair Services 2026, which will operate from August 15 to 22 and connect the fairgrounds with around twenty municipalities and population centres in the province. The measure aims to provide an alternative to private vehicles during the main days, avoiding traffic jams, parking issues, and alcohol checks.

As a new feature, this year Almogía is incorporated into the connections with the Fair, via the new line M-460, which will operate only from August 17 to 22. Additionally, services on the routes from Alhaurín de la Torre, Alhaurín el Grande, Colmenar, Casabermeja, Riogordo, Fuengirola, and Coín will be reinforced.

The special services will be available from Benalmádena Costa, Rincón de la Victoria, Torremolinos, Las Lagunas de Mijas, Fuengirola, Alhaurín de la Torre, Pinos de Alhaurín, Álora, Pizarra, Colmenar, Cártama Pueblo, Cártama Estación, Casabermeja, La Redonda, Alhaurín el Grande, Coín, Riogordo, Valle de Abdalajís, and Villanueva de la Concepción. The departure and return schedules have been designed to cover both early returns and late-night departures.

On Saturday, August 15, a national holiday, the lines M-110 (Málaga-Torremolinos-Benalmádena Costa), M-160 (Málaga-Rincón de la Victoria-Cotomar), M-132 (Málaga-Alhaurín el Grande), and M-133 (Málaga-Alhaurín de la Torre-Pinos de Alhaurín) will operate with the usual Saturday schedules.

In addition to the buses, Renfe Cercanías and MetroMálaga will extend their hours during the Fair days, offering additional alternatives to access and return from the capital. The use of the Consortium Transport Card allows access to discounts on journeys. On the new line M-460, the card must be personalised for 1 jump if used as a payment method.
