The Association of Brotherhoods and the City Council are organising the third edition of the Youth Cofrade Fair, which will include activities, exhibitions, and two processions on the last weekend of September.
The Holy Week Brotherhood Association of Málaga and the Youth Area of the City Council have organised the third edition of the Youth Cofrade Fair, which will take place on the last weekend of September at the Caja Blanca, in the Teatinos area. According to Diario Sur, the event will include exhibitions, workshops, concerts, meetings, and activities for young people, families, and the general public.
On Saturday, September 26, the fair will open from 10:30 to 20:00 with a bar service managed by the Brotherhood of the Sorrows of the Bridge. The inaugural event will be led by the Youth Department and the president of the Brotherhood Association. At 10:40, the cornets and drums band Holy Christ of Redemption of Benalmádena will perform a concert featuring marches such as 'Christ of Love' and 'Macarena'. At 11:30, there will be a masterclass on drums led by the string section of the same band, directed by foreman Juan Carlos Jiménez Luque from the Brotherhood of the Sorrows.
The ground floor will host exhibition spaces with photographs, items, and documents from the brotherhoods of the eve, Glory, and other corporations from the province. The first space will be dedicated to the Eves, featuring pieces such as the crown of the Virgin of Llaga on the shoulder and Buena Fe, or the banner of the Brotherhood of Sorrows of Churriana, among others.
The weekend will feature two processions: that of the Virgin of Mercedes from the Tarajal neighbourhood, and that of the Virgin of the Head, which will pass through La Palma, La Palmilla, and La Virreina. Additionally, the musical group Cautivo de Estepona will perform a concert at the temple of Puerto de la Torre to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Brotherhood and Charity Christ.

The programme also includes preliminary events, such as the triduum to the Virgin of Sorrows at the parish of San Gabriel Archangel (Thursday 24 and Friday 25 at 19:30 and 20:00), the function to the Virgin of Mercy at the sanctuary of Santa María de la Victoria (Thursday 24 at 20:00), a 4K projection on the Virgin of Major Pain (Friday 25 at 18:00), and lectures on the Holy Shroud and changes in devotion in Málaga's processional sculpture (Friday 25 at 20:00).
The triduum to the Virgin of the Head will begin on Friday 25 at 20:30 at the parish of Jesus Worker, with a veneration and the participation of the choir Jaleo. The fair will conclude on Saturday at 20:00.
