In Andalusia, from October 7, citizens, freelancers, and companies can apply for aid under the Vehicle Renewal Plan. This programme offers up to €4,000 for the purchase of new non-plug-in vehicles.
Details of the Vehicle Renewal Plan Andalusia
The initiative is managed by the Andalusian Energy Agency, which is part of the Ministry of University, Industry, Energy and Innovation. Applications can be submitted until November 15.
The Plan, which was initially intended for freelancers, was opened to a wider audience on April 15, 2026, following modifications to its regulatory bases. These modifications increase the amount of the incentive by €1,000, benefiting those who had already submitted applications since that date.
Requirements to access the aid
To benefit from the aid, it is necessary to scrap a vehicle with a valid ITV, registered in Spain and at least 10 years old. Furthermore, the applicant does not have to be the owner of the vehicle that will be scrapped.
The renewal of vehicles can be carried out through direct purchase or via financial leasing and renting, as long as the price does not exceed €35,000 excluding VAT. The vehicles acquired must be registered in Spain and the dealership must be physically located in Andalusia.
The programme has a total budget of €5 million and operates under a non-competitive concurrency regime, meaning that applications will be processed in the order they are received.
