Andalusia has reported that between January and May 2026, olive oil valued at over €1.425 billion has been exported. This information was provided by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development.
Despite international sales decreasing by 10.5% compared to the same period last year, olive oil continues to be the agro-food product with the highest export value in the region.
Other notable products
Fresh peppers rank second, with exports around €768 million, thanks to the sale of nearly 299 tonnes in international markets. This result represents an increase of over 9% in value compared to 2025.
Fresh strawberries occupy third place in the ranking, exceeding €648 million in exports, which translates to an increase of nearly 2% compared to the previous year. In terms of volume, around 205 tonnes have been exported, with a growth of 2.9% compared to 2025.
Cucumbers have also performed notably, with exports reaching nearly €530 million for over 300 tonnes sent abroad, equivalent to a 21% increase in value compared to the previous year.
Growing agricultural exports
The report from the Ministry of Agriculture indicates growth in tomato exports, which have recorded an annual increase of over 15%, reaching €384.4 million in 2026. Courgettes show an even greater rise, with a 36.6% increase in value, reaching €285.6 million in the same period.
Additionally, other products such as raspberries (€251.8 million), table olives (almost €250 million), avocados (€227.6 million), and blueberries (€216.2 million) are part of the top ten agro-food exports from Andalusia in these five months.
In total, Andalusian agro-food exports between January and May 2026 have surpassed 3.4 million tonnes, with a total estimated value of €8.165 billion. This represents a growth of 1.6% compared to food and beverage exports in the same period in 2025.
