In Málaga, the value of agri-food exports from Andalusia in the first half of 2026 has reached 9.326 billion euros. This figure represents an increase of 0.8% compared to the same period last year.
According to data provided by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development, Andalusia has exported nearly 4 million tonnes of food and beverages, specifically 3,995,449 tonnes, in the first half of this year.
Breakdown of exports by province
Andalusia accounts for 23.4% of the total agri-food exports of Spain, which amount to 39.819 billion euros. In provincial terms, Almería leads the figures, with sales of over 1.7 million tonnes valued at 3.059 billion euros, representing a growth of nearly 16% compared to the previous year.
In Cádiz, 271,671 tonnes have been recorded for a total of 514.3 million euros, and in Córdoba, exports amount to 303,107 tonnes worth 713.8 million euros. Additionally, Granada has exported 175,862 tonnes for over 561 million euros, Huelva has reached 387,622 tonnes valued at over 1.512 billion euros, and Jaén has sold 42,248 tonnes, with a value close to 193 million euros.
Meanwhile, Málaga has accumulated a total of 256,871 tonnes worth 776 million euros in the first six months of 2026. Sevilla added to these figures with 835,793 tonnes valued at 1.996 billion euros.
Highlighted products and export destinations
Regarding the best-selling food groups, legumes and fresh vegetables lead the market with over 3.040 billion euros, followed by fresh fruits, which reach 2.407 billion euros, and animal or vegetable fats and oils, which total 2.274 billion euros.
It is important to highlight that extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) ranks first among the most exported products in terms of value, with sales exceeding 1.174 billion euros. Peppers are in second place, with 794 million euros, and strawberries in third, reaching over 668 million. Cucumbers, for their part, have shown significant growth, reaching 558.6 million euros in exports.
Germany has become the main destination for agri-food exports from Andalusia, accounting for 19.7% of the total, which translates to sales of over 1.833 billion euros, an increase of 4.3% compared to the previous year. France ranks second with 1.137 billion euros and finally, Italy with 894 million euros in sales.
