The town of Málaga benefits from the recent increase in funding for grants aimed at women at risk of social exclusion, announced by the Junta de Andalucía. The Official Bulletin of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA) published on 20 October 2026 the decision to increase the budget allocated to the Andalusian Institute of Women by €1,140,093.74.
Increase in funds for the care of vulnerable women
With this increase, the total funding for the call rises to €3,140,093.74. The amount has been increased from the initially planned funds of €2,000,000, including resources from the State Pact against Gender Violence and the self-financing of the Junta de Andalucía.
The resolution does not imply the opening of a new period for the submission of applications. The beneficiaries of these aids are non-profit private entities that assist women at risk of social exclusion and that fall within the lines of action stipulated by the call.
Priority care programmes
The call aims to finance programmes aimed at women in contexts of special vulnerability, including those that assist victims of gender-based violence. Seven lines of projects are funded, which cover:
- Programs for women victims of trafficking for sexual exploitation.
- Programs for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women.
- Programs for migrant women facing social exclusion.
- Programs for Roma women facing social exclusion.
- Programs for women with disabilities and social exclusion.
- Residential care programs for women with mental illness and social exclusion.
- Programs for women in other situations of social exclusion.
This edition highlights that programmes aimed at women victims of trafficking will be given preferential status, granting an additional 15 points in the evaluation of the submitted initiatives.
