The young woman from Málaga, Julia Doblas, a student at El Pinar School in Alhaurín de la Torre, has been awarded the Extraordinary Baccalaureate Award 2025/26, a recognition that places her among the 50 best students in all of Andalusia. The award, granted by the Ministry of Educational Development and Vocational Training, distinguishes those students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance after passing a demanding examination.
A continuous trajectory of excellence
This is not the first time Julia Doblas has received recognition of this calibre. Two years ago, she already obtained the Extraordinary Secondary Education Award with the highest grade, and subsequently achieved the First Accésit for a research project at the Lamarr Chair of the University of Málaga. In addition, she obtained one of the highest scores in the province in the PeVAU.
Despite her brilliant track record, the student confesses that she did not take this new award for granted. "The level of the candidates was extremely high," she acknowledges. The news came to her unexpectedly, through a WhatsApp from her father. "When I saw that I had achieved it, I was so happy, I almost cried; it was the moment when I truly realised that all my hours of study and work had been worth it," she recalls excitedly.
The support of El Pinar School, key to her success
Julia has been linked to El Pinar School since she was three years old and highlights that the institution has always nurtured her curiosity to learn. She particularly appreciates the involvement of her Baccalaureate teachers, who made especially demanding subjects more accessible through resources such as documentaries, films, or complementary activities. "Without their support, this achievement would not have been possible," she states.
The school, located in Alhaurín de la Torre, is known for its commitment to academic excellence and educational innovation. The director of the institution, María José López, has expressed her pride in Julia's achievement: "She is an example of perseverance and dedication for all our students."
Next destination: the University of Málaga
Although her academic record opened the doors to practically any degree, Julia has decided to pursue a double degree in Economics and Bilingual Business Administration at the University of Málaga. A double degree that, it must be said, is almost as selective as the award she has just received. The young woman prefers to enjoy the recognition for now and face this new academic stage with enthusiasm, while keeping in mind a future goal: to develop her professional career abroad one day and continue learning beyond the classrooms where she began a journey that today places her among the best students in Andalusia.
Julia Doblas's example demonstrates that, with effort and a solid educational foundation, academic dreams can be fulfilled.
