The Teatro Lope de Vega in Vélez-Málaga has unveiled its June program, blending national stars such as El Brujo and Ismael Lemais with local dance academies. The month-long schedule includes theater, music, and tributes.

The Teatro Lope de Vega, a cultural landmark in Vélez-Málaga, will host a diverse lineup in June 2026, including renowned Spanish performers and homegrown talent. The month-long program kicks off on June 5 with “El viaje del monstruo fiero” starring Rafael Álvarez (El Brujo), one of Spain’s most acclaimed theatrical actors, at 20:00 hours.

This year’s programming represents an increase in variety compared to previous seasons, as the city aims to strengthen its cultural offering. The following day, June 6, Ismael Lemais and Isita Díaz present “Madre mía” at 20:00 hours, a comedy that has toured nationally. On June 7, the local band Corazón Inverso debuts its first album “Sin rencores ni rabia” in a free concert at 19:30 hours, offering access to all audiences.

Mid-June brings a tribute to classic rock: “The Gospel of Queen” on June 12 at 21:30 hours, followed by a Tributo K-POP on June 14 at 12:30 hours aimed at younger spectators. The second half of the month shifts focus to local dance academies. On June 18, the Academia de baile Cristina Gallardo and Anne Axarquía present “La Plazuela” at 20:00 hours. June 20 features “Así baila Vélez” at 19:30 hours, showcasing regional choreography.

Later performances include Estep Dance on June 25 at 19:00 hours, the Feel the Music Dance Festival on June 27 at 17:00 hours, and a closing show on June 30 by The New Crew titled “Pa’ que más” at 20:00 hours. Mayor Jesús Lupiáñez highlighted that the program “reflects a cultural model that combines big names with local talent, offering proposals for all ages.”

Tickets for the major shows—El Brujo, Ismael Lemais, The Gospel of Queen, and Tributo K-POP—are available online via Giglon, while the Corazón Inverso concert is free. Remaining performances require tickets purchased through the participating academies. The theater, located in the city center, continues to be a key venue in the Costa del Sol Oriental cultural scene, attracting visitors from across the province.
