The Rincón de la Victoria Town Hall has tendered the 'Cities Against Drugs' programme, which will be developed throughout the year for the first time, including summer.
The Rincón de la Victoria Town Hall has tendered the management and development service for the community addiction prevention programme 'Cities Against Drugs', promoted by the Social Welfare Department and co-financed by the Andalusian Government.
The initiative, which will start in September 2026 and run until August 2027, includes the months of July and August as a new feature, allowing for uninterrupted coverage throughout the twelve months of the year.
The Councillor for Social Welfare, Belén Gutiérrez, explained that "this year we are taking a further step by ensuring the continuity of the service throughout the year. Incorporating the months of July and August allows us to maintain information and prevention resources during the summer period, when it is especially important to reinforce attention."
The mayor, Francisco Salado, emphasised that "prevention is a fundamental tool to protect especially our minors and young people and to involve the entire community. With this programme, we want to continue advancing in prevention and responding to the new realities and risks affecting families."
The programme includes the creation of a Community Prevention Network to strengthen coordination among the involved agents, as well as actions in the educational field, information and guidance services, and specific training for families.
Among the planned measures are programmes for healthy lifestyle habits and emotional well-being for teachers and students, and prevention workshops in Primary Education and Secondary Education Institutes in the municipality, tailored for children aged 6 to 12 years and young people aged 12 to 18 years.
Two Information and Guidance Services (SIO) will be created: one specialised in substance addictions and another in behavioural addictions, such as pathological gambling, online betting, or excessive screen use. Both will offer early attention and intervention for initial consumption or risk patterns.
A Municipal School for Families will also be launched, aimed at parents and legal guardians, with the goal of strengthening parental competencies as a protective factor.
The base tender budget amounts to €59,070.91. Interested companies can submit their offers until 7 September through the contractor profile on the municipal website.
