The Mediterranean Archaeological Park hosts 'The Dream of the Stars' on July 31, a free evening that combines live music and astronomical outreach. Invitations can be reserved from July 23.
On Friday, July 31, the Mediterranean Archaeological Park in Rincón de la Victoria will transform into an outdoor celestial observatory. The event, dubbed 'The Dream of the Stars', is part of the #StarrySummer programme. Science, Space and Society, organised by the Tourism Department of the Town Hall.
An evening under the summer sky
The activity will kick off at sunset and offer an immersive experience where live music and astronomical observation intertwine. Attendees will enjoy a concert while gazing at the sky guided by expert educators.
The Councillor for Tourism, Antonio José Martín, highlighted that "this activity provides the opportunity to enjoy a different experience during summer nights, where music and astronomy come together to spark interest in science in a unique setting."
"We continue to bet on a consolidated proposal that brings knowledge of the universe closer to locals and visitors through an attractive, accessible and quality activity," stated the mayor, Francisco Salado.
The mayor, Francisco Salado, emphasised that the event showcases "such a unique space as the Mediterranean Archaeological Park", a 90,000 square metre site on Picasso Avenue that is already a landmark on the coast.
How to obtain invitations
Access is free, but capacity is limited. Tickets can be reserved starting at 00:00 hours on July 23 on the website www.turismoenrincon.es, with a maximum of two invitations per person. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing, bring water, and a chair for greater enjoyment.
For those who are late, the Town Hall reminds that information can also be obtained at the Municipal Tourism Office or at the Treasure Cave, as well as on the municipal website www.rincondelavictoria.es.
The initiative, now in its third edition, aims to bring science closer to locals and tourists in an enjoyable way. The Archaeological Park, with its expanse and location by the sea, offers an unparalleled setting to observe the stars away from the city's light pollution.
