The Municipal Auditorium of Rincón de la Victoria hosts the tenth Film Soundtrack Concert on July 26, featuring a journey through music from film, anime, and video games.
The town of Rincón de la Victoria in Malaga is preparing for a new musical event this summer. On July 26, the Municipal Auditorium will host the tenth edition of the Film Soundtrack Concert, an event that has become a staple in the cultural calendar of the municipality.
The Music-Cultural Association Banda de Música de Rincón de la Victoria, directed by Adrián Ruiz Sánchez and José Luis Pérez Zambrana, will present a repertoire that spans from classics of adventure cinema to pieces from anime and video games. The concert is designed for an audience of all ages.
The Councillor for Culture, Paz Couto, has highlighted that this musical event has become a well-established proposal within the municipality's summer programming. “It will offer a dynamic and varied proposal that combines styles, emotions, and eras, bringing symphonic music closer to both enthusiasts and lovers of cinema and soundtracks,” she noted.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Rincón de la Victoria, Francisco Salado, emphasised the warm reception this activity has among residents. “The Film Soundtrack Concert has become one of the most popular cultural activities of the summer thanks to its original and high-quality proposal,” he stated. He also thanked the municipal band for their commitment to bringing band music to new audiences.
The programme is divided into two thematic blocks. The first part will be dedicated to the great classics of adventure cinema. It will begin with an overture inspired by The Addams Family and Wednesday, and continue with soundtracks from films such as Silverado, Indiana Jones, and Hook.
After a break, the second part takes on a more family-friendly and relaxed tone. It will include pieces from Detective Conan, Ratatouille, Princess Mononoke, and Super Mario Galaxy, before culminating with the music from Shrek 2, one of the most popular soundtracks in animated cinema.
The concert will start at 20:00 hours and entry will be free until capacity is reached. The Town Hall encourages residents and visitors to enjoy this musical event that annually gathers a diverse audience around film music.
The municipal band of Rincón de la Victoria, made up of local musicians, has been working for years to promote band music. This concert is a showcase of their work, combining classic pieces with more contemporary ones that connect with new generations.
For those wishing to attend, it is recommended to arrive early due to the expected influx of the public. The Municipal Auditorium is located in an accessible environment and has nearby parking.
