The experiential leisure park in Humilladero has been awarded the Gold Star of Andalusia, a distinction that recognises innovative and sustainable projects that promote territorial development.

The experiential leisure park Laberintus Park, located in Humilladero (Antequera), has been awarded the Gold Star of Andalusia. This award acknowledges initiatives that promote innovation, sustainability, and the generation of economic opportunities in the territory.

The recognition highlights a project born in a small municipality in inland Málaga. According to its managers, the goal from the outset was to demonstrate that the Andalusian rural environment can also host attractive tourist proposals capable of boosting the local economy and enhancing its surroundings.

A Park That Combines Nature and Family Leisure

Laberintus Park offers a large plant maze, games, and outdoor activities. It is designed for families, groups, educational centres, and companies. Its location, near Antequera, the Laguna de Fuente de Piedra, El Torcal, and the Dolmens of Antequera, makes it a complementary resource within the region's tourist offer.

The project's promoter, Rafael Mesa, has pointed out that the award not only recognises the park but also the municipalities in the area: Humilladero, Mollina, Fuente de Piedra, and Alameda. "This award demonstrates that it is possible to innovate, generate opportunities, and build a future from small inland towns," he stated.

"Every visit, recommendation, and vote has contributed to achieving this recognition, which represents both satisfaction and a responsibility to continue working"

Commitment to Diversifying Inland Tourism

With this distinction, Laberintus Park reinforces its position as one of the leading leisure proposals in the interior of the province of Málaga. The initiative adds to efforts to diversify the region's tourist offer, encourage visitors to the inland of Málaga, and highlight the potential of rural municipalities as spaces for entrepreneurship and development.

For the residents of Humilladero and nearby towns, this award is a boost for a project that has already attracted visitors from the Costa del Sol and other provinces. The park plans to continue expanding its activities and improving its facilities to establish itself as a family leisure destination in inland Andalusia.

The award was presented at an event held in Seville, attended by representatives from the Andalusian tourism sector. Laberintus Park thus follows in the footsteps of other rural projects that have managed to put small municipalities on the map thanks to an innovative and sustainable offer.
