The mayor of Antequera, Manolo Barón, has assessed these figures and stated that "Antequera is progressing, and it is doing so in terms of income and the economic capacity of its citizens."
"That our city increases its average gross income by almost 6% in just one year and also improves nine positions in the national ranking is fantastic news"
Barón emphasized that "behind these figures are the families, workers, self-employed individuals, and businesses of Antequera, who make it possible for our city to continue growing and generating opportunities."
"The evolution of income is another indicator that reflects the transformation and dynamism that Antequera is experiencing. We are talking about a city that is growing, attracting economic activity, generating jobs, and increasingly offering more opportunities to its residents"
The mayor added that "these figures encourage us to continue working in the same direction, with our eyes on the future and the goal of ensuring that Antequera continues to improve its position, increasing opportunities and enhancing the quality of life for its citizens."
The data comes from the AEAT statistics on average and median gross income declared in the 2024 IRPF, published this year. Antequera thus remains on the growth path of recent years.
