The event, held at the Silken Antequera Hills Hotel, was attended by the mayor, Manuel Jesús Barón Ríos; the councillor for Culture and Historical Heritage, José Medina Galeote; and the businessman Jorge Buendía.
Two Major Bullfights in One Weekend
The programme includes two major events in a package that brings together top-level figures. On Saturday, August 22, at 19:30, the traditional Corrida del Arte del Rejoneo will take place. Bulls from the Benítez Cubero-Pallarés ranch will be fought by leading figures of horseback bullfighting including Andy Cartagena, Diego Ventura, and Leonardo Hernández.
The following day, Sunday, August 23, at the same time, it will be the turn of the Traditional Goyesca Bullfight, one of the most emblematic festivities of the locality, approaching its centenary in 2028. For this occasion, the lineup includes the bullfighters Juan Ortega, Pablo Aguado, and David de Miranda, who will face bulls from Astolfi in a trio of great personality.
