The Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) in Marbella has announced a sponsorship agreement with the real estate developer Tu Primer Hogar for its traditional Gala Dinner and charity golf tournament. The event, which has established itself as the most significant charitable gathering of the summer on the Costa del Sol, will bring together representatives from the business, institutional, and social sectors with the aim of raising funds for cancer research and patient care.
A sponsorship with personal significance
The president-CEO of Tu Primer Hogar, Francisco Gómez Palma, explained that this sponsorship is not an isolated action, but a natural extension of the company's purpose, which was founded with a strong social mission. "We work every day knowing that the need for housing goes far beyond a physical property. It is the protective space where people's life projects are built," he stated.
Gómez Palma had a special remembrance for his sister, the founder of Tu Primer Hogar, who passed away from cancer two years ago. "I feel very close to the association for the work they do. My older sister did not have time to see Tu Primer Hogar come to life, but we know that the funds raised will allow people in her same situation to have a chance to heal," he expressed.
For his part, the president of the Local Board of the AECC in Marbella, Santiago Gómez-Villares, thanked Tu Primer Hogar for their support and highlighted that the commitment of the business sector is essential for free support services to continue reaching 100% of those who request them. "In the last year, we have assisted 462 patients and 135 family members, conducting a total of 2,318 care and support sessions. Additionally, 647 people have been attended to in various services and programs," he detailed.
Dates and benefiting programs
The Annual Gala Dinner will take place on August 1 at the Finca de La Concepción, while the golf tournament will occur on July 31 at the Real Club de Golf Las Brisas. The funds raised will be entirely allocated to free services in the province of Málaga, such as specialized psychological care, social assistance, accommodation for displaced patients, and research scholarships.
For the residents of Marbella and the Costa del Sol, this event represents an opportunity to collaborate with a cause that affects many families. Last year, the AECC managed to raise over 100,000 euros in similar events, which allowed for the expansion of support programs. This year, with the backing of Tu Primer Hogar, it is hoped that this figure will be surpassed.

The cost per person for the dinner is 150 euros, and the registration for the golf tournament, which includes green fee and cocktail, amounts to 200 euros.
