Eleven players were awarded at the XXIV Onda Cero Marbella Golf Tournament, held at the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina. The winners qualify for the national final of the circuit.
The Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, in Marbella, hosted this weekend the twenty-fourth edition of the Onda Cero Marbella Golf Tournament, an event that gains importance each year in the golfing calendar of the Costa del Sol. The day, marked by a good atmosphere and sportsmanship, resulted in eleven winners in different categories, with Roberto Sainz Canales as the winner of the prestigious scratch award for the best player of the tournament.
A Competition with Local Flavor
The organisation was managed by the Onda Cero Marbella team, led by its director Inés Borrego, who highlighted the involvement of sponsors and collaborators to ensure the tournament “continues to grow year after year.” The commercial efforts of Soledad Rossi and the support from Concha Montes, Elena Delgado, Rocío Montoro, Alfonso Olaso, and Elena Goçmen were key to coordinating an event that is already a classic in the area.
In the first category, the victory went to Diego Echavarría, while Javier Montiel García triumphed in the second category and Paloma Colleo Sánchez did the same in the third. All of them, along with Roberto Sainz Canales, will have the opportunity to compete in the final of the Onda Cero National Circuit, which will take place on November 28, 2026, at the Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa, in Murcia.
Luxury Sponsors
This year's edition had the support of around twenty local and national companies. Among the main sponsors are Electrochollo, Laude San Pedro, Casa Pablo, Alizar Dental, Up Elevadores, Soho Market, Lumon, Casino, Hospital Recoletas Salud Marbella, Grupo Luini, Torino Motor (official Alfa Romeo dealer), and Pan Bendito. Additionally, firms such as Arrozante, Mondat, Acosta Frutas y Verduras, Coffee King, Paula Rubio Jamones, Viajes Saldumar, Holiday Golf, Fairway & Blue, Hard Rock Hotel Marbella, Barbecue World, Hacienda del Mar, Art Garden, and Heineken collaborated.
For golf enthusiasts in the province, this tournament represents a unique opportunity to enjoy a day of sport at one of the most emblematic courses on the Costa del Sol, the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, which this year was again in perfect condition. The event also serves as a showcase for the level of amateur golf in Málaga, with local players competing shoulder to shoulder with visitors from other provinces.
A Classic That Never Fails
Twenty-four editions say a lot, and the Onda Cero Marbella Golf Tournament has established itself as a reference in the social and sports calendar of the city. The combination of competition, good atmosphere, and solidarity among attendees ensures that success is repeated each year. The organisers are already thinking about the next edition, hoping that the number of participants and sponsors continues to grow.
For the general public, the event on November 28 at La Manga Club will be an opportunity to see the Marbella champions compete against the best in the national circuit. It is also a chance to discover the Murcian resort, one of the best in Europe.
