Parque de la Represa will host the special edition of Marbepop on October 3rd, featuring national bands and local talent. Entry will be free.

The Marbepop Festival celebrates its 40th anniversary on October 3rd at the Parque de la Represa in Marbella, as reported by Diario Sur. The event, organised by the Youth delegation, will offer live music from 16:00 to 00:00 with free entry.

The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, presented the lineup accompanied by the councillor for the area, Alejandro González. Muñoz stated that this edition aims to "revive this event on the occasion of this important anniversary." She added that, four decades later, although "trends, generations, and ways of understanding music have changed, it retains its ability to be a meeting point through music," and congratulated "all those who have contributed to keeping the project alive over all these years."

The lineup is headed by La Leshe Que Mamate, a local band linked to the festival's origins, returning with their ska blend. They are joined by Malmö 040 (fresh pop), Las Dianas (pop-punk from Granada), and Skabum, a band from San Pedro Alcántara that was a finalist on 'La Voz Kids'.

The festival continues to serve as a platform for young artists from Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara. Alongside the mentioned acts, Aigy, Klimax, Hizooz, Hako, and Ñeco will perform, showcasing trap, afro, rap, and other contemporary influences.

There will be a space to promote artistic and entrepreneurial initiatives at the Factoría Joven, a bar with affordable prices, and eco-cups. Part of the bar's profits will be donated to a local NGO, and the proceeds from the eco-cups will go to Triple A, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary.
