The Manilva Town Hall is advancing in the comprehensive remodeling project of the Plaza Costa del Sol, in Sabinillas, with works scheduled for November and a duration of six months.
The Manilva Town Hall has presented to the residents of the Barriada de los Pescadores the comprehensive remodeling project of the Plaza Costa del Sol, in Sabinillas. The mayor, Mario Jiménez, accompanied by councillors Marcos Ruiz, Juan Carlos Morejón, Eva Galindo, and Pilar Zúñiga, met yesterday with residents and representatives from Hidralia and the technical drafting studio of the project.
The meeting served to gather the needs and proposals of the residents before the works begin. The councillor for Infrastructure and Works, Marcos Ruiz, explained that some of the suggestions made will be incorporated into the final design.
The action will prioritise the renewal of the sanitation and supply networks, as well as the reinforcement of the stormwater network, which have suffered significant deterioration over the years and have caused problems in the area. With the lifting of the plaza, it will be an opportunity to transform its image, giving it a more modern and functional appearance, while maintaining the parking spaces and gaining pedestrian space. The vegetation will also be reorganised.
The Town Hall expects the works to begin in November and have an execution period of about six months. In a second phase, work will be done on the adjacent pedestrian alleys, although in the first phase, the installations will already be prepared for future connection.
