The municipality of Manilva has sent all the aid collected by its residents for the victims of the earthquake in Colombia on August 10.

On Thursday, September 3, all the humanitarian aid collected by the residents for the victims of the earthquake in Colombia on August 10 departed from Manilva.

The Social Welfare Delegation, led by Laura Salazar, organized food and goods collection days in the municipality. The mayor, Mario Jiménez, along with the responsible councillor, visited the municipal warehouse that served as the collection point.

The packages will be managed by the Madrina association. From Manilva, they will head to Jerez, the collection point in Andalusia, and from there they will be sent to Madrid for subsequent transfer to the Latin American country.

Councillor Laura Salazar thanked the solidarity of the people of Manilva, who have once again demonstrated their most humane side.
