The TikTok user Isma Ruge (@ismaaeel.__) has posted a video denouncing a police action at a skatepark in Benalmádena. In the 64-second recording, a police intervention is observed, which the complainant considers disproportionate and has sparked debate on social media about the limits of authority.
In the text accompanying the video, Ruge explains that what happened should not be normalised: “the uniform does not give a free pass to insult, humiliate or use force unjustifiably”. The author claims that the images have already generated controversy and calls for an investigation into whether there was abuse.
There should be an investigation. And if there was abuse, there should be consequences.
The video, published on August 27, 2026, has been shared with tags such as #Benalmádena, #PoliceAbuse, and #Police, and has surpassed 100,000 views in less than 24 hours. So far, neither the Benalmádena Town Hall nor the Local Police have issued an official statement regarding the incident.
The skatepark where the events took place is a public space widely used by local youth, especially during the summer. The complaint adds to other citizen criticisms regarding the actions of security forces in youth leisure spaces.
