The opening was announced at an event with the Councillor for Sports of the Benalmádena Town Hall, Alejandro Carretero.
The programme will start at 17:45 with the traditional ribbon-cutting. At 17:50 there will be a preliminary performance, and at 18:00 the opening party will begin, lasting until 21:00. Throughout the afternoon, there will be figure skating exhibitions, face painting, raffles, and entertainment proposals, featuring Frosty, the event's mascot.
Entry costs €3 and includes skate rental, making it easier for people of different ages to participate in this first day. The initiative is supported by the Sports Palace and the Benalmádena Association for Disability Care (ABAD).
All proceeds will go to ABAD to help fund its Day Centre in Benalmádena, a project aimed at expanding resources for care, assistance, and support for people with disabilities and their families.
