The Luna Llena Association is organising the sixth edition of its charity walk, which will start at 20:00 and collect food and clothing for El Vuelo de las Libélulas.
Benalmádena will once again unite sport and solidarity on Friday, August 28 with the celebration of the VI Charity Walk, an initiative organised by the Luna Llena Association in collaboration with the Benalmádena City Council.
The Councillor for Sports, Alejandro Carretero, has encouraged residents and visitors to participate in an event that, as he noted, “has become established and demonstrates that sport can also become an important tool for solidarity and social commitment.”
As in previous editions, participants will be able to contribute non-perishable food and clothing that they no longer use, which will be donated to El Vuelo de las Libélulas. This year, the charitable aspect is complemented by the sale of technical T-shirts for 20 euros, with the proceeds going entirely to the ABAD Association to support its new centre.
The event, which will kick off at 20:00, will also feature various activities to enhance the participants' experience, including telescope observation, DJ music, and raffles, as well as drinks and fruit for each participant.
Carretero has thanked “the work and commitment of the Luna Llena Association for making this initiative possible once again” and invited the public “to join in, enjoy an evening of community, and contribute their bit to two associations that carry out important social work.”
The walk, which has become a staple summer event in the municipality, aims to promote physical activity while supporting groups that work in the social field. Interested individuals can go directly to the starting point on the day of the event or find out more through the City Council and the organising association's channels.
