CD Atlético Femenino Ben-Namiel hosts Córdoba CF B on Sunday 6 September at 11:45 at Estadio Francisco Alarcón 'Isco' in the III edition of the La Niña Trophy.
The CD Atlético Femenino Ben-Namiel will play the III edition of the La Niña Trophy against Córdoba CF B on Sunday 6 September at 11:45 at the Estadio Francisco Alarcón 'Isco'. The match will serve as the official presentation of the team for the 2026/2027 season.
The councillor for Sports of the Benalmádena City Council, Alejandro Carretero, presented the tournament accompanied by the club's sports director, Javi Ramos, and the executive and coach Tomás Márquez. Carretero encouraged fans to support the team:
“We are facing the third edition of a tournament that continues to grow and represents a magnificent opportunity to support women's football in our municipality and, especially, a team that carries the name of Benalmádena throughout Spain.”
Ben-Namiel is entering its third consecutive season in the national category after finishing last season in a remarkable fifth position. The team arrives at the trophy after being crowned champions in the previous two editions: in the first, they defeated Málaga CF B and last year lifted the trophy by winning 3-1 against Córdoba CF B, the same rival returning this year to Isco Alarcón.
The Benalmádena team will start the league competition on Sunday 13 September, also at home, against Motril CF, aiming to improve on the fifth place achieved last season. Carretero concluded:
“We want the stands to support our players on Sunday 6 September and for us to enjoy another great day of women's football.”
