Real Jaén CF already knows the schedule for the 2026/2027 season in Primera RFEF. They will debut on August 30 visiting CE Europa in Barcelona, in a group of 20 teams.

The white and purple team will compete in Group 2 of Primera RFEF after achieving promotion last season. The draw, held this Monday by the Royal Spanish Football Federation, has paired Real Jaén with 19 other teams, including Real Madrid Castilla, Real Murcia, and Real Zaragoza.

A first phase with alternating rivals

The competition will kick off on August 30 with Real Jaén travelling to the ground of CE Europa in Barcelona. In the second round, the team from Jaén will host SD Huesca at the Estadio Nuevo La Victoria, before travelling to Teruel to face CD Teruel on the third date.

The fourth matchday will bring UD Ibiza back home, while the fifth fixture will take the team to Antequera. The sixth match will be at the ground of Hércules de Alicante. Real Jaén will enjoy two consecutive home games in rounds 7 and 8, against Villarreal “B” and CF Rayo Majadahonda, before visiting Atlético Madrileño on the ninth date.

Among the most notable away commitments are visits to Real Madrid Castilla (matchday 15, December 6) and Real Murcia (matchday 16, December 13), which will form a demanding double away trip at the end of the year. Also highlighted are the trips to the ground of Atlético Madrileño, Hércules de Alicante, and Real Zaragoza, the latter on matchday 33.

The second half will start in February

The second half of the championship will begin on January 31, with the 22nd matchday, where the team from Jaén will host AD Alcorcón. From there, the schedule will mirror the first half's matchups, with the difference of reversed home and away fixtures.

The 37th and penultimate matchday of the league, scheduled for May 16, will feature a home clash for Real Jaén against CE Europa, the same opponent they faced in their league debut, thus closing the circle with the Barcelona team before the season concludes in Vila-real.

The league season will conclude on May 23 with another away game, this time at the home of Villarreal “B”. For Jaén fans, the schedule offers several intense weekends, such as the double away trip to Madrid and Murcia in December, which will require advance travel planning.

Real Jaén returns to Primera RFEF after several seasons in lower divisions. In the 2025/2026 season, they achieved direct promotion as champions of their group in Segunda RFEF, with a team that has maintained its core and added reinforcements to tackle the step up in category. The fans, who have responded with an average of 8,000 spectators at home matches, are eagerly anticipating the return to professional football.

Season tickets for the new season are already on sale, with prices ranging from 150 to 350 euros depending on the area of the stadium. The club recommends purchasing them before August 15 to secure a seat for the most in-demand matches, such as those against Real Zaragoza and Real Murcia.
