The North Health Management Area of Málaga Antequera has carried out the renovation of its gynaecological examination chairs, both in primary care consultations and in hospital settings. This action is part of its commitment to modernising healthcare services.
The modernisation required a total investment of €62,225. This amount has been allocated to the acquisition of ten chairs for Primary Care consultations, costing €30,350, and four chairs for hospital outpatient consultations, which represented an expense of €31,875.
Improvements in Gynaecological Care
The new chairs are electric motorised models, which enhance accessibility, ergonomics, and comfort for patients and medical professionals during care. Thus, all gynaecological consultations in this health area are now equipped with updated facilities.
This renovation is particularly significant as it coincides with the expansion of the Early Detection Programme for Cervical Cancer, which has been promoted by the Ministry of Health, Presidency, and Emergencies. This expansion includes new age groups in the target population, which will allow more women to benefit from this preventive strategy.
Commitment to Public Health
Furthermore, the programme aims to actively recover the recruitment of women to facilitate their participation in screening, thus promoting the early detection of precursor lesions and cervical cancer. This action reaffirms the North Health Area's commitment to the continuous improvement of healthcare services.
The renewal of equipment, along with the humanisation of care, are fundamental pillars of the North Health Management Area of Málaga Antequera's approach to prevention and health promotion among the population.
