The PSOE of Málaga announces a series of initiatives in the Andalusian Parliament, with healthcare as the focus, including a proposal to review the parking fees at the Civil and Materno Infantil hospitals.

The Secretary General of the PSOE of Málaga and deputy spokesperson for the Socialist Group in the Andalusian Parliament, Josele Aguilar, announced on Monday the presentation of a series of parliamentary initiatives focused on the province, among which stands out a proposal to address parking fees at the Civil and Materno Infantil hospitals in the capital. This measure responds to complaints from users and healthcare staff following the reorganisation of these public spaces, as reported by Diario Sur.

In a coordination meeting with institutional representatives, coinciding with the start of the political term and the establishment of parliamentary committees, the party defined its opposition priorities. Aguilar highlighted healthcare, education, housing, dependency, and municipal financing as the main areas in which they will register initiatives.

In healthcare matters, the socialist leader referred to the waiting times recorded during the summer in the emergency department of the Hospital Clínico and the level of use of the new technological equipment at the Hospital Costa del Sol in Marbella.

In the educational and infrastructure sector, the PSOE requested progress towards the free provision of education for children aged 0 to 3 years, the removal of prefabricated classrooms in municipalities such as Cártama and Mijas, and an increase in the regional funding allocated to local entities. They also addressed the pollution episodes along the Málaga coastline due to deficiencies in sanitation.

Finally, Aguilar questioned the presence of members of Vox in the representation of the Andalusian Government during institutional events over the summer in the province. For the new session period, the Socialist Group will have Patricia Alba in Education, Daniel Pérez in Housing, and Ana Villarejo in Artificial Intelligence and Public Administration, alongside Aguilar in the deputy spokesperson role.
