Amazon Prime Video launches the trailer for 'Reina Roja 2: Loba negra', filmed in Málaga, Marbella, and Fuengirola. The series premieres on October 2.
The wait is over. Amazon Prime Video released on Wednesday the trailer for 'Reina Roja 2: Loba negra', the second season of the series based on the saga by Juan Gómez-Jurado, and the images confirm that the province of Málaga is much more than just a backdrop: it is an essential part of the plot. According to Diario Sur, the locations of Málaga, Marbella, and particularly Fuengirola pepper the preview, which is now available on the platform.
The new installment stars Vicky Luengo as the gifted investigator Antonia Scott and Hovik Keuchkerian as her sidekick, the police officer Jon Gutiérrez, who will take the pair to the Costa del Sol to solve a crime linked to the Russian mafia. The plot kicks off with the disappearance of Lola Moreno, the wife of a crime lord fleeing from her husband, and the race against time to find her before Loba Negra, an unrelenting hitwoman, does. The criminal will test Antonia's intelligence, while other 'Reinas Rojas' across Europe are eliminated, a threat that also looms over the peculiar duo.
The global premiere is set for October 2, but a day earlier, on October 1, the series team will participate in the San Diego Comic-Con Málaga to reveal details about the filming and the storyline. The series, once again directed by Koldo Serra, comes after the first season became the most-watched Spanish series on Prime Video, featuring in the 'top 10' of over 120 countries, including number 1 in Spain.
This second installment introduces new actors to the cast, such as Adriana Torrebejano, Silvia Abascal, Mauricio Morales, Beka Lemonjava, Javiera Sky, and Féodor Atkine. The action scenes unfold in locations along the Costa del Sol, where corruption and drug trafficking loom over the plot.
