In Málaga, over 30,000 seniors have obtained the Andalucía Junta 65 Card (TAJ65) during the first half of 2026. As of June 30, the card has a total of 1,134,268 holders in Andalucía, of which 57% are women and 43% are men.
Benefits of the Andalucía Junta 65 Card
The TAJ65, managed by the Ministry of Social Services, Families and Equality, allows seniors to access various benefits, programs, and significant discounts. To obtain it, one only needs to be a resident of Andalucía and be at least 65 years old.
There are two types of this card based on the applicant's income: the Gold type, aimed at those with income below 75% of the Public Indicator of Multiple Effects Income (IPREM), and the Green type, for those who exceed that threshold. Currently, 85% of beneficiaries hold the Green card while 15% have the Gold type.

The TAJ65 offers a 50% discount on public road transport, discounts on optical products, and access to reduced-price dining services. Additionally, it provides free legal guidance services at the active participation centers of the Junta de Andalucía.
