For Navarro, the mobilization transcends the defense of the autonomous city: "Let us not forget that Ceuta is the border of our country, but it is also the border of the entire EU. Therefore, defending its interests is defending the interests of all of Spain."
The delegate praised "the thousands of anonymous people from Malaga who came out to defend the cause of Ceuta, which is an issue that transcends any political debate because we are talking about the security of our border and the southern border of Europe." In this context, she emphasized that the Andalusian president, Juanma Moreno, has taken this message to Brussels.
Navarro has called for "accountability" from the Spanish Government so that "it rises to the occasion, because Ceuta needs to regain normality as soon as possible, it cannot be ignored."
She also expressed solidarity with the people of Ceuta who will not start the school year normally. "Our Ceuta neighbours have decided not to start the school year in the early childhood stage, due to the consequences of that invasion that took place on July 31 and for which a definitive solution has still not been provided," she explained. "This situation of insecurity and uncertainty leads many families in Ceuta to be unable to reconcile or start this school stage normally."
