The National Police arrest a 38-year-old man for breaching a restraining order against his partner during the response to a fire in a house in Miraflores. The fire resulted in four people being taken to hospital, including a seven-year-old girl admitted to the ICU of the Materno Infantil.
A fire that broke out on the top floor of a building in the Miraflores neighbourhood of Málaga led to the arrest of a 38-year-old man for an alleged offence of breaching a restraining order against his partner. This was confirmed by police sources to Diario Sur. The events occurred early on Sunday, around 8:30 AM, when neighbours alerted 112 Andalucía about a dense column of smoke coming from the third floor of the building.
Firefighters from the Real Cuerpo de Bomberos de Málaga were dispatched from the Central park of Martiricos, with two fire engines, a ladder truck, and two light vehicles. Patrols from the National Police, the Local Police, and ambulances from 061 also attended the scene.
The fire, the causes of which are under investigation after starting in one of the rooms of the house, resulted in four people being taken to hospital. Medical services evacuated two men aged 38 and a woman aged 36 to the Hospital Regional Universitario, while a seven-year-old girl was taken to the Materno Infantil, where she remains in the Intensive Care Unit.
During the assistance and identification of those affected, officers confirmed that one of the men present at the scene had a court order prohibiting him from approaching the woman residing in the house. The National Police immediately proceeded to arrest him for breaching that precautionary measure.
