The town of Málaga will host 35 flamenco recitals as part of the Andalusian Circuit of Peñas 2026. This programme includes performances of singing, dancing, and guitar, and will take place between 5 September and 28 November 2026.

Details of the Circuit in Málaga

The Andalusian Circuit of Peñas includes a total of 225 recitals across the eight Andalusian provinces, featuring the participation of at least 470 artists. In Málaga, a tribute will be paid to the flamencologist and collector Luis Soler for his work in promoting and preserving flamenco heritage.

The Málaga programme will feature 21 singing performances, eight dance performances, and six of other instruments. The recitals will take place in 30 different locations, including Alhaurín de la Torre, Antequera, Benalmádena, and Vélez Málaga.

Initiative for the Promotion of Flamenco

The Minister of Culture, Historical Heritage, and Sport, Patricia del Pozo, emphasised that this initiative aims to strengthen the role of flamenco peñas in promoting the art of flamenco. A total investment of 250,000 euros will be allocated, which is 20% more than in previous years.

The Circuit is designed to be a platform where both established artists and new talents converge, allowing for a significant generational shift in flamenco music. Those interested in participating in the Circuit were able to submit their proposals through a public call, resulting in nearly 300 proposals received.

With this new edition, the Andalusian Circuit of Peñas reaffirms its commitment to flamenco culture and its ability to reach all corners of Andalusia, promoting the diversity and quality of this art.
