The DGT reports at 08:40 hours 20 incidents on Málaga roads, with delays on the A-7, A-355, MA-20 and AP-7. The most affected areas are Marbella, Mijas, Torremolinos and the capital.
The road network in the province of Málaga has accumulated 20 incidents at 08:40 hours this Monday 28th September 2026. According to data from the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) collected by Diario Sur, the problems are concentrated on roads such as A-7, A-355, MA-20, AP-7, A-357, A-7052, MA-24 and A-404, caused by accidents, delays and heavy traffic.
The affected municipalities are Monda, Marbella, Mijas, Torremolinos, Málaga, Alhaurín de la Torre, Pizarra, Cártama, Rincón de la Victoria and Ojén. Traffic advises adjusting speed according to the conditions of each section and maintaining attention while driving.
On the A-7, the most problematic points are located in Marbella, with very slow traffic and intermittent stops at the entrance funnel to the San Pedro de Alcántara Tunnel (kilometres 1048.36 to 1052.90) since 08:32, and in the vicinity of Las Chapas and Elviria (kilometres 1029.65 to 1034.33) since 08:31. There are also delays between San Pedro and the Isdabe area in Estepona (kilometres 1052.32 to 1053.74) since 07:52.
In Mijas, the A-7 shows congestion between La Cala de Mijas and Calahonda (kilometres 1020.74 to 1027.06) since 08:30. In the capital, the A-7 registers slow traffic in several sections: kilometres 992.26 to 993.43 since 08:14; 979.28 to 979.67 since 08:10; 977.65 to 978.02 since 08:10; and 976.49 to 977.50 since 08:09.
The A-355 adds incidents in Monda, with dense traffic and delays between kilometres 21.44 and 25.63 since 08:33, and in Ojén, with slow movement between kilometres 30.58 and 33.19 since 07:56.
In Torremolinos, the MA-20 presents occasional delays at Avenida Velázquez and the entrance to the Port (kilometres 0.00 to 0.65) due to an incident with a vehicle on the road detected at 08:22. In Málaga, the AP-7 also has delays due to a vehicle on the road between kilometres 996.71 and 998.46 since 08:22.
The A-7052 in Alhaurín de la Torre registers very slow traffic between kilometres 3.10 and 4.91 since 08:18. The A-404, in the same municipality, shows congestion between kilometres 23.50 and 24.50 since 07:00.
The A-357 has problems in Pizarra (kilometres 41.94 to 43.61, since 08:17), in Cártama (kilometres 55.14 to 61.00, since 08:16) and in Málaga, at the exit towards the Technological Park (kilometres 62.98 to 66.00, since 08:13).
In the capital, the MA-20 has slow traffic at the Carlos Haya Tunnel and the exits towards the centre (kilometres 8.50 to 12.48) since 08:12, and the MA-24 suffers a bottleneck between kilometres 5.88 and 7.20 since 07:39.
In Rincón de la Victoria, the A-7 shows slow movement between kilometres 967.14 and 973.18 since 08:05.
The DGT updates this information throughout the day, so it is recommended to check the state of the roads before starting the journey.
