The group Un techo por Derecho has organized a protest at 20:00 hours outside the Málaga City Hall to protest against evictions and demand the right to decent housing. The call, as reported by Diario Sur, responds to the case of Maricarmen, an 87-year-old woman evicted from her home, which has generated reactions across Spain.
Under the slogan 'Concentration for the right to housing, against criminal rent-seeking and speculation', the platform calls on the people of Málaga to take to the streets "for Maricarmen and for many others in the same situation". On their Instagram profile, the group states: «Housing cannot continue to expel lives!».

The call also appeals to "older people who, after a lifetime of effort, live in fear of losing their home; families who struggle to make ends meet and live under the threat of eviction; and children who should not grow up with the uncertainty of not knowing if they can stay in their home".
The Platform of Affected by Mortgages (PAH) of Málaga has also joined the protest, reaffirming in a statement "its unwavering commitment to the comprehensive defense of the right to decent housing" and demanding a change in the regulatory, political, and judicial paradigm. «People and the legal security of citizens must absolutely take precedence over financial interests», insists the platform.
The PAH reminds us that in 2025, there were 1,136 evictions in the province of Málaga, averaging almost four per day or 22 families per week, according to official data from the General Council of the Judiciary.
