The Municipal Institute for Training and Employment (IMFE) of the Málaga City Council will start the Employment Zone programme in October, an initiative that begins with 85 places distributed across the neighbourhoods of Centro-Norte, Las Flores, and Cruz del Humilladero. The aim is to improve employability and promote entrepreneurship in these areas.
The activities combine training, guidance, individualised support, and specialised skills development. Among the proposals are employment clubs, courses on digital skills, business advice sessions, and a course on decoration and window dressing.
This first edition will be complemented with new workshops that will be progressively developed until 2029, as reported by IMFE.
The Employment Zone is part of the Integrated Action Plan ‘Conecta_Málaga’, framed within the integrated action plans of local entities (EDIL). The programme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Multi-regional Programme of Spain for the period 2021-2027.
