Málaga has been the venue for the XXI Legal Congress of the Málaga Bar Association, inaugurated by the Government delegate of the Junta de Andalucía, Patricia Navarro. This event coincides with the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the Málaga Bar Association.
Contribution of the Legal Profession
Patricia Navarro emphasized the importance of lawyers in strengthening judicial institutions. She highlighted that these professionals work to be guarantors of rights, legal security, and freedom.
During her speech, Navarro mentioned the challenges facing the legal field, stressing that the contribution of lawyers is essential to achieving independent justice, free from political interference and more transparent, which would help restore citizens' trust in institutions.
Challenges in the Province of Málaga
The Government delegate also reflected on the constant evolution of the profession and its need to adapt to legal and social changes. According to Navarro, events like this congress allow professionals to analyze and confront current legal and social challenges.
She also highlighted the particularities of Málaga, a province that is developing at a pace faster than the Andalusian and national averages. This growth affects judicial life, and the regional administration remains close to judicial operators to address the specific needs of the region.
Finally, she expressed her gratitude to the Dean of the Málaga Bar Association, Flor Carrasco, for her invitation to participate in this edition of the congress, highlighting its significance as one of the main legal references in the country. The celebration of the 250th anniversary of the bar reinforces its commitment to defending the rights and freedoms of citizens.
