The town of Málaga will benefit from the opening of the application period for travel aid promoted by the Junta de Andalucía, aimed at students of Vocational Training. This initiative is focused on supporting those who completed modules of Training in Work Centres and Dual Vocational Training projects during the 2024/25 academic year.
Details of the aid and eligibility criteria
To access this aid, students must have completed at least 80% of the stipulated days in the agreements signed between their educational centre and the company. Furthermore, the per capita income of the applying families must not exceed the Public Indicator of Multiple Effects Income (IPREM). Applications can be submitted through the Virtual Secretariat of the Junta de Andalucía until 13 October. A budget of 2.57 million euros has been allocated for this programme.
Unlike previous calls, the predetermined territorial distribution by provinces and the points scoring system have been eliminated, implementing a new system that seeks a more equitable and direct distribution. Thus, the threshold for permitted family income has increased from 75% to 100% of the IPREM, which will increase the number of potential beneficiaries.
Income brackets and bonuses
Applications will be classified according to the per capita income of the family unit, providing greater support to those with lower incomes. Each applicant who meets the requirements will receive a base amount determined by:
Days of attendance at the company, up to a maximum of one hundred days. Distance between the educational centre and the company. Official compensation amount for using a private vehicle.Four income brackets have been established to calculate the amount each applicant will receive:
The first bracket covers victims of terrorism or children of women in shelters, who with a per capita income below 0.25 times the IPREM will receive 100% of the base amount. The second bracket, for incomes between 0.25 and 0.50 of the IPREM, will receive 80% of the base amount. The third bracket, with incomes from 0.50 to 0.75 of the IPREM, will receive 60% of the base amount. Finally, the fourth bracket, for those with incomes above 0.75 of the IPREM, will receive 40% of the base amount.Additionally, further increases may be applied, such as a territorial correction factor for students in low population density areas and bonuses for students with disabilities equal to or greater than 33%. The final aid cannot be less than 100 euros or exceed 1,000 euros per beneficiary. All aid is co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus under the FSE+ Programme of Andalucía 2021-2027.
