Over 60 players from nine teams gathered at the I Official Clinic of the Team Andalucía, held at the facilities of Sevilla Linces.
The Team Andalucía American Football has taken a giant step in its consolidation with the celebration of its first official clinic, an event that brought together more than 60 players from nine different teams across Spain. The day, which took place at the facilities of the Sevilla Linces club, saw notable participation from athletes from Andalusia and other autonomous communities, including representation from the Canary Islands.
A project that unites Andalusian talent
The clinic, led by head coach Francisco Juárez «Ochoa», aimed to assess and prepare players for future competitions. The coaching staff, composed of Alberto Ocaña, José Luis López, Alejandro Agüera, Carlos Tenorio and Javier Agote, designed an intense session that combined physical and technical tests.
During the morning, participants performed tests of strength, speed, vertical jump and direction changes, before moving on to position-specific exercises. The day culminated in a simulated match between offense and defense, allowing the coaching staff to analyse each athlete's individual performance.
Among the attendees, players from Canes from the Canary Islands stood out, as well as Andalusians playing for elite national clubs such as Osos Rivas and Badalona Dracs. This diversity reflects the spirit of the project: to bring together Andalusian talent regardless of the club or community in which they compete.
Over 60 players from nine teams
Participation exceeded initial expectations, with more than 60 players arriving from nine different teams. The organisation highlighted the high level displayed by the attendees and the camaraderie that was felt throughout the day.
“It has been an incredible experience to see so many players committed to this project. The level has been very high and we are very satisfied with the outcome,” said Francisco Juárez «Ochoa».
The clinic not only had a competitive focus but also served to strengthen the sense of belonging to Team Andalucía. The day ended with a group photo and the collective signing of a flag of Andalucía, a symbolic gesture that reflected the unity of all participants.
For players from the province of Málaga, this initiative represents a unique opportunity to develop their talent within a regional project that aims to compete at the highest level. American football in Andalusia continues to grow, and this clinic is a demonstration of its potential.
Next clinic in September
The success of this first edition has encouraged the organisation to schedule a second clinic for next September. Although the venue has yet to be confirmed, it is expected to be held at some facility in the province of Málaga, according to sources from the coaching team.
The Team Andalucía continues to work to consolidate its structure and provide Andalusian players with a high-performance platform. With initiatives like this clinic, American football in Andalusia shows that it has a future and, above all, plenty of talent.
