The Town Hall of Rincón de la Victoria and the Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Málaga Area will resume tomorrow, September 9, the special M-166 line that connects the municipality with the Teatinos Campus and the Clinical Hospital.
The special university service of the M-166 Rincón de la Victoria-University-Clinical line will be operational from tomorrow, September 9, to facilitate the movement of students and users to the Teatinos Campus and the Clinical Hospital of Málaga. This initiative, driven by the Town Hall of Rincón de la Victoria along with the Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Málaga Area (CTMAM), will be active during the school days of the 2026/2027 academic year.
The service will run until May 28, 2027. In the Rincón de la Victoria-University direction, departures will leave from Los Rubios at 07:00, 08:00, and 13:15 hours. In the opposite direction, departures from the Ampliación de Teatinos will be at 14:15 and 21:10 hours.
The Councillor for Mobility and Transport, Pablo Pardini, explained that “tomorrow this special line resumes, allowing connections between different points in Rincón de la Victoria and La Cala del Moral with the Teatinos Campus and the Clinical Hospital.”
The Mayor, Francisco Salado, highlighted that “this special service facilitates the mobility of our students and all those who travel daily to the University of Málaga and the Clinical Hospital.” Salado added that “coordination with the Metropolitan Transport Consortium is essential to adapt the service to the real needs of our residents, especially during the academic year, when travel to Teatinos significantly increases.”
The line makes stops at various points in Rincón de la Victoria, La Cala del Moral, and La Araña, as well as in the university area of Teatinos: Sciences, Botanical Garden, Philosophy and Letters, Law, Medicine, Clinical, Industrial, Engineering, Health Sciences, and Andalucía Tech, among others.
The service will only operate on school days, so there will be no buses on Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays. It will also not operate during the Christmas holidays (from December 23, 2026, to January 6, 2027), on January 28, 2027, the feast of Saint Thomas Aquinas, or from March 19 to 29, 2027, both inclusive, for Holy Week.
Timetables and updated information can be consulted on the channels of the Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Málaga Area and in the Mobility and Transport section of the municipal website: www.rincondelavictoria.es.
