The Local Government Board of Nerja has approved the preliminary project for the new car park building located next to the Health Centre, once the public information period has concluded. The facility will have 847 spaces distributed across four floors plus a roof.
The project occupies a total area of 25,406.46 square metres. Of the 847 spaces, 806 will be conventional, 22 are reserved for people with reduced mobility, and 20 will have infrastructure for electric vehicles.
On the roof, it is planned that the Junta de Andalucía will build the Transport Interchange, according to the preliminary project approved by the City Council.
“We continue to take steps to make one of the strategic projects to improve mobility and significantly expand the parking offer in our town a reality, especially in an area undergoing transformation with the new Health Centre and the future Alcalde Gabriel Broncano street currently under construction,” declared the mayor, José Alberto Armijo.
The mayor added that this new facility “will help meet one of the main needs of the people of Nerja, facilitating parking and contributing to reducing vehicle circulation.”
The preliminary project is approved following the public exhibition period, and the next step is the drafting and processing of the final project.
