The Civil Guard has recently dismantled a logistics depot linked to drug trafficking in Conil de la Frontera, Cádiz. During the operation, over 10,120 litres of fuel were seized, used by high-speed vessels involved in illegal activities.
Arrests and findings
So far, five individuals suspected of crimes related to smuggling, possession of explosive or flammable substances, and belonging to a criminal organisation have been arrested. This operation has revealed the existence of a criminal group operating along the coast, providing logistical supplies and crew changes in the area.
During the search of the residence used as a base of operations, agents found 61 jerrycans of fuel ready for use, a stolen foreign vessel, and a rental van. They also discovered panels intended for boat construction, as well as watertight drums used for the provisioning of these vessels.
Ongoing investigations
Since the beginning of the investigation, a total of 405 jerrycans of fuel have been seized in the province, amounting to over 10,120 litres. The proceedings remain open, and inquiries are being conducted into other individuals associated with these criminal activities.
The operation was led by the Investigation Area of the Civil Guard Post in Conil de la Frontera and has publicly marked a significant advance in the fight against drug trafficking in the region.
